Getting Started with Battlegrounds Online

Section 1 – Your first login

1.1 Introduction to Daemornia: Battlegrounds Online.

Daemornia: Battlegrounds Online is a game of skirmishes between rival armies. It takes place using a series of cards depicting creatures, scenarios, equipment, skills, events and more. It is played between two or more players using a deck of 40 cards (minimum) each and requires a degree of tactical thinking in selecting the right force. Through careful deployment and equipping your warriors the objective is to defeat your opponent through winning battles, raids and destroying scenarios.

1.2 Your new account

We have automatically populated your deck so you can get started straight away without having to mess about too much. You have been given 40 cards and 100 points to spend. These 40 cards are generated randomly with 30 common cards, 8 uncommon cards and 2 rare cards. I will take you through deck management and the card store in section 2.1.

1.3 The main page

When you log in, you will be presented with the main page, consisting of: A Menu giving links to various parts of the game on the left, Latest news / info in the centre and your basic account information at the top.

Section 2 – Library / Deck Management

2.1 Managing named decks

Go to Account>Settings>Main. The “Decks” section presents you with 3 options: Set Default Deck, Create New Deck and Delete Deck

2.1.1 Set Default Deck
In the drop-down box all of your decks are listed (if you haven't created a new deck, only your starter deck will show). Just select the deck you wish to work with and then hit the “Set” button, this deck will now be active, any cards you add to deck will be added to this deck and any battles you join will deal from this deck.

2.1.2 Create New Deck
Built up a few cards? Fancy experimenting a little with decks, great. Enter a name for you deck in the box (e.g. Cheap Cast, Lizards only... basically something you can identify the deck by) and click the create button. An empty deck will be created which you can add the cards you wish to. Remember to set it as default (see above) before working on it!

2.1.3 Delete Deck
The new deck not working out for you? No problem, just select the deck you wish to delete from the drop-down menu and hit the delete button. Don't worry, the cards aren't deleted, you still own them and they will be available in your library still (and still be in other decks you have created)

2.2 Adding cards to your deck
Go to Account>Library to view your library of cards. You can browse your cards using the filters at the top. You will be presented with a list similar to below.

You can click on the card image to get more info on the card. The “Amount” field shows how many of this card are in your library. Below the “Add” button it shows how many of this card are in the current default deck. You can sell a card and gain the points displayed below the “Sell” button.

A maximum of 5 of any one card are allowed in a deck at a time. You can have each card in multiple custom decks at a time, a card is only committed to the current active deck so if you have only 1 “Araneae Goff” in your library, you can still have 2 (or more) decks with an “Araneae Goff” in it.

Each time you add / remove cards from your deck, you will see the deck count on the left menu increase to show the total size of the deck.

2.3 Removing cards from your deck
Go to Account>Deck to view your deck (again, using the filters at the top to browse the different card types). You will be presented with a list of cards currently in your selected deck. It's fairly self explanatory, the “Amount” shows how many of this card are currently in your deck. Click “Remove” to remove it from the current deck,
